Our first ever Beautiful Bikers Day on the East Coast, at Cross Country Cycle, in Metuchen, NJ was AMAZING! Black Girls Ride teamed up with Lisa Jackson, of Fearless Events, to create an exciting day of sisterhood, networking and motorsports education. Porsche Taylor & Sarah “SeCCRet” Moreau came from the west to bring the Beautiful Bikers experience to all of our friends in the east. We had an awesome time! We were joined by the CBS Morning Show, who came out to interview the riders and even hopped on for the ride!
Professional Road Racer, SJ Harris of Threader Racing, spoke about her track experience and answered questions about how to attend track days. Diane Ortiz, owner of Big Apple Motorcycle School, talked about her experience and curriculum for both new and advance riders. Dangerously Persistent and Sue Slate of The Women’s Coalition of Motorcyclists presented 5 scholarships to the Big Apple Motorcycle School for ladies who want to learn to ride or take advanced classes. The Big Apple Motorcycle School pledged to match their award, for a total of 10 scholarships! For full details on how to apply, visit wcm2020.org. Please spread the word and apply today!
We were excited to meet over 150 riders from all over the country. Some ladies road as far away as Virginia and Pennsylvania to attend the event, riding in the cold of the east! Special thanks to New Jersey Road Sisters, Garden State Girls, Road Diamonds of New Jersey, Sirens Women’s MC of NYC, We R 1 Motorcycle Club, Motor Maids and Steel Horses MC, Brooklyn Chapter for their participation and support!
If you didn’t make the ride, keep us in mind for next time! And don’t forget, we’re gearing up for our 4th Annual Beautiful Bikers Conference, November 18 – 20 in Long Beach, CA. We’ve got an exciting weekend planned for women who love the ride! Register for the weekend at beautifulbikers.com!
